What is GovSpend?

GovSpend is a resource that allows businesses to search through a database of government purchase orders. This information can be used to see competitor information, to see what governments are purchasing, to find potential leads, and anything else you can think to search for.
We work with an active Data Acquisition team that works daily to find the information we need in our database to help you. The information is then sent on to data engineering so that they can convert the information. However, we do not edit the purchase orders. We leave them as is to preserve the integrity of the information.
We are able to gather this information for you thanks to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The FOIA states that any person has the right to request access to federal agency records or information except to the extent the records are protected from disclosure by any of the nine exemptions contained in the law.
We have done the hard part for you. We have gathered the information and compiled it so that all you have to do is search for what you need.
