In a few scenarios, users are finding agencies that have been categorized as a company or seller on some purchase orders. This could seem odd since the agencies are supposed to be the purchasers.
However, we have discovered in a few cases that the agency is, in fact, selling something to another agency. What we've seen is that one agency will be helping another agency out. For example, one city might be providing equipment or personnel to help with something in a smaller city. Or a city with IT service will help out another city that might not have in-house IT services.
All of these transactions still get recorded via purchase orders. Agencies are diligent with their records and so for the sake of transparency, we have included every purchase order we've received into our database for you to find in your searches.
